Microservices Architecture

In this 9 days live and hands-on training, you will learn how to design microservices architecture to build modern cloud-native software.

Learning Objectives

This 9-day course is meticulously designed to give participants an in-depth understanding of microservice architecture, a modern approach to building scalable and resilient software systems. Through a blend of theoretical concepts, hands-on labs, and real-world case studies, this course will guide you through the fundamental principles and advanced techniques required to design, implement, and manage microservices.

Participants will explore key topics such as service decomposition, API design, inter-service communication, data management, and the various design patterns. By the end of this course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to architect and build robust microservice-based systems, understand the trade-offs involved, and be equipped to address the challenges of these systems.

This course is ideal for software architects, developers, and IT professionals eager to deepen their expertise in modern software architecture and gain practical experience in creating and managing microservices.

What will you Learn:

Module 1: Introduction to the World of Microservices

Learn about the basic components of the microservice architecture. Understand the differences between microservice and monolith architecture. Explore the core benefits of adopting the microservice architecture.

Module 2: Design Patterns in Microservice Architecture

Explore various microservice architecture patterns like API Design Patterns, API Gateway Patterns, Saga Pattens, etc. Learn about auxiliary concepts such as microservice communication and orchestration. Explore tooling and implementation techniques, while observing the pros and cons of each.

Module 3: Case Study, Migration to Microservice Architecture and Protocols

Learn about the challenges of migrating from monolithic to microservice architecture via case studies. Explore different underlying protocols (SPIFFE) and patterns (Side-Car Pattern) used in microservice orchestration tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the classes take place?

Classes take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class timings are optimized for working professionals so that they can take the courses during their evening hours.

Different sessions will have different class timings:

  • For sessions focused on US students, time will be 9pm - 10:30pm Eastern Time Zone.
  • For sessions focused on EU students, time will be 9pm - 10:30pm Central European Time.
How many hours of live training are included?

We have 1.5 hours of live training for every day of the course. For example, if a training course is for 5 days, that translates into 5 x 1.5 hours = 7.5 hours of live classes.

This time is spread over multiple weeks so that students have enough opportunity to complete hands-on assignments and avail their office hours.

What are office hours and how can they be used?

Every students is allocated office hours for one-on-one interaction with the instructor. They can use this time anytime during the course of the training. This time is meant to be spent for discussing any problems and clarifying concepts in a personalised manner.

How do classes and communications take place?

Classes take place on Google Meet. All students receive invites to the calls a week before the training starts. All students are also added to a Slack workspace for interacting with the instructor and their peers.

Will I receive certification as a result of the training?

All participants will receive a certificate of participation from Venturenox after the training.

How many students participate in every class?

Classes typically have 10 - 15 students. Students are normally experienced professionals who are looking to up-skill themselves. This makes for a rich group learning experience.

What are the requirements for joining the training?

Our trainings are meant for professionals who already have some experience and are looking to take their skills to the next level.

Students will need access to a computer where they can setup development environments and complete the hands-on assignments.
